Diabetic? Don’t Fall for This Research LIE
I’ll tell you – from now on, I’m going to put on a pair of oven mitts when I read new medical research.
Because that’ll keep me from pulling my hair out.
I saw a new study the other day that made me want to SCREAM.
Researchers were claiming that drinking 100% fruit juice doesn’t affect your blood sugar.
So I guess it’s OK for diabetics to drink it by the gallon, right?
Wrong.
This study was absolute garbage. And following it could destroy your health.
Here’s the TRUTH the researchers are hiding.
A new study published in the Journal of Nutritional Scienceshowed that drinking 100% fruit juice had no effect on blood sugar.
The press release had the nerve to mention keeping your blood sugar low is good for diabetics.
Here is my question for you:Does fruit juice contain sugar?
Of course, right? And it’s plenty bad for you.
But here’s how the researchers hid the truth.
Fruit juice is mostly a sugar called FRUCTOSE.
When you go to the doctor (or prick your finger) to measure your blood sugar, they are looking for the sugar called GLUCOSE.
Glucose is NOT Fructose.
So, drink a bunch of fructose fruit sugar in your body and then measure glucose AND OF COURSE there is going to be no difference.
I wonder why the scientists published this study?
Oh, there it is, at the bottom on the study: “This study was sponsored by Juice Central”–a lobbying arm.
The are trying to make fruit juice look good, but let me tell you why fructose is bad (worse than other sugars):
- Fructose is metabolized by the liver. Get too much fructose and you get fatty liver–especially if you are drinking alcohol.
- Fructose is stored as fat much easier than glucose.
- Bacteria in your gut love fructose which creates imbalances (too many bad bacteria).
- Fructose causes insulin resistance and leptin resistance.
- Fructose increase metabolic syndrome diabetes, obesity, and heart disease.
- Cancer cells love fructose.
So, next time you think it’s a good idea to reach for a glass of 100% fruit juice, remember fructose can cause you lots of harm.
Even if lobbyists and the scientists they hire don’t want you to know it.
