Diabetic? Don't Miss THIS Protein Discovery!

Protein is ESSENTIAL for good health. Yet far too many folks fall short… especially seniors.

Protein plays so many VITAL roles that it would literally take an entire book to cover them all.

To start with, if you want a steel-trap brain, strong muscles and bones, an ironclad immune system, and healthy hair, skin, and nails, then you need PLENTY of good, quality protein.

But there’s one MORE critical role that protein plays that’s bound to surprise you.

And it’s something you can’t afford to ignore… ESPECIALLY if you have diabetes!

It turns out protein helps control blood sugar.

But precisely how much you need… and how often you should get it… for optimal glucose balancing wasn’t well understood until recently.

Now, a new study published in the British Medical Journal has FINALLY given us some answers.

Researchers recruited a group of volunteers with type 2 diabetes to figure it out. Participants were put on continuous glucose monitoring to track their blood sugar levels.

Then each volunteer took either whey protein or a placebo before each meal. The protein supplement was only 15 grams, but it packed a big punch.

Although small, it was enough to significantly improve the participant’s blood sugar control.

Whey powder is an easy and tasty way to add protein to your diet and help control your blood sugar at the same time.

I like the chocolate flavor myself. It usually comes in a big tub that lasts a LONG time. And it’s easy to mix it up right before eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

But don’t stop there. Maintaining healthy blood sugar is critical for continued good health whether you’re diagnosed with diabetes or not. Following are a few more suggestions to help you do just that…

Dr. Scott’s Balanced Blood Sugar Approach:

  • Eat well: Avoid processed foods and eat plenty of healthy proteins and as many veggies as possible. Skip the ADDED sugars and limit sugars, grains, and starchy vegetables. And if you’re going to indulge in a sugary treat, always do it near a full meal to slow down the absorption of sugar and avoid blood sugar spikes.
  • Exercise: You don’t have to run a marathon or bounce around the gym like an energizer bunny to stay in shape. Walking, golfing, a swim, or a game of tennis are all excellent ways to support healthy blood sugar processing.
  • Ease inflammation: Buy some cheap health insurance by taking supplements that naturally keep inflammation levels in check. I like fish oil, curcumin, and Boswellia.
  • Berberine: This herbal extract is a twofer. Research shows it’s fantastic for brain health AND reduces blood sugar at the same time.
  • Chromium: In studies, this mineral lowered blood glucose and boosted insulin sensitivity.

And another thing…
