[DISCOVERED] “Z” Solution SINKS Blood Pressure!

Dear Living Well Daily Reader,

Some of the most amazing things we have in our modern world were found by accident.

The ideas for penicillin, microwave ovens, x-rays, Velcro, Teflon, and even sticky-notes all came about because the inventors were looking for answers to another solution.

And now there’s another amazing discovery to add to the list.

In a recent study, a group of researchers were looking at rat brains to study a specific mechanism when they discovered something else instead…

A “Z” solution that could SINK high blood pressure… and save lives.

*****

Experts have known for a long time that certain minerals like potassium and calcium are essential for regulating blood pressure, but they may have been missing one of the most important ones all along…

Zinc.

You see, most blood pressure drugs drop blood pressure by changing the potassium and calcium levels in the smooth muscles that surround your blood vessels. When those muscles relax, blood pressure lowers.

Drug makers have capitalized on both potassium’s and calcium’s ability to do this… but it turns out zinc may be able to do the same thing.

In the study, researchers were studying how certain zinc-based drugs affect the brains of Alzheimer’s patients by testing this theory on rats.

But when they looked closer, they noticed something remarkable… the rats’ blood pressure was dropping.

In truth, we should have known this for a long time. Zinc deficiency has been associated with high blood pressure in several animal studies.

Researchers even discovered that a gene that controls zinc levels is associated with high blood pressure and heart disease.

The reason zinc is important is because it helps reduce the amount of calcium in the muscle, causing the smooth muscles to contract and blood flow to improve.

And there’s even better news: your blood vessels in your heart and brain are very sensitive to the amount of zinc inside the cells… which means zinc could be even more important than both potassium and calcium for lowering blood pressure.

To get these benefits and more, load up on meat, beans, nuts, seeds, and eggs, but supplement if you’re not getting enough.

Women should get 8mg of zinc daily and men should stick to no more than 11mg.
