Miracle Fruit UNLOCKS Perfect Gut Health
In a very real way, the health of your gut IS your overall health.
Researchers have linked your gut health not just to weight loss, but your mood, your immune system, and even your memory as well.
And the biggest thing affecting your gut health is how you take care of your microbiome, the system of cells that helps your gut absorb nutrients.
With the standard American diet being what it is, most of us don’t get the fiber or nutrients we need to keep this tiny ecosystem healthy… and as a result, you could face a number of diseases.
But now researchers have uncovered an easy fix that tackles ALL of these issues in one fell swoop.
It’s a miracle fruit that’s absolutely delicious.
The answer? Avocados.
Scientists from the University of Illinois have discovered that eating avocado every day can help replenish your microbiome, restoring gut health.
You see, your microbiome is like a tiny factory within your gut. It helps break down and process the nutrients your body needs while eliminating those you don’t.
And the more microbes— or “workers”— you have, the better.
In the 12-week study, participants were divided into two groups. Each was asked to eat one special meal replacement once a day. One group received one containing avocado, the other didn’t.
Next, the researchers gathered urine, fecal, and blood samples throughout the study to measure the amounts of nutrients the participants’ bodies had absorbed.
And when they looked at the results, they discovered something surprising.
The researchers found that people who ate avocados every day had MORE gut microbes. Not only that, they had a greater variety.
Avocados sometimes get a bad rap, because people are worried about the fat content. But avocados contain healthy fats, along with beneficial fiber, both of which benefit microbial life and therefor your health as a whole.
A medium avocado contains about 12 grams of soluble fiber, plus plenty of other key nutrients:
- 26 percent of your daily vitamin K,
- 20 percent of your folate,
- 17 percent of vitamin C,
- a healthy dose of B vitamins,
- plus, antioxidants, lutein, zeaxanthin and more.
And believe it or not, avocados contain more potassium than bananas!
Avocados are a great-tasting way to benefit your entire digestive tract and help your overall health, so don’t be afraid to start adding this miracle fruit to your diet today.
P.S. Avocados aren’t just good for your gut. They’re also the secret to lowering your risk of this deadly disease. Find out what it is right here.
