NEVER Take Vitamin D (Without This)

If you read Living Well Daily often, you know you cannot take vitamin D without taking vitamin K, too.

In fact, it’s downright dangerous to take one without the other.

Vitamin D pulls calcium from our food, to help our bones.

But without vitamin K, calcium builds up in places we don’t want – like our arteries and kidneys.

Of course, taking vitamin K with vitamin D isn’t enough.

If you want vitamin D to function correctly, there’s another nutrient you need to add to the mix.

And most people aren’t getting enough of it.

Vitamin D is a worthless vitamin without a key mineral: Magnesium.

People all around the world now know the importance of vitamin D to fight bone loss, heart disease, diabetes, cancer, and almost all inflammatory conditions.

Vitamin D is also helpful for autoimmune disease and even brain conditions.

But if you take vitamin D and you don’t have enough magnesium, vitamin D limps around, unable to function.

Magnesium activates vitamin D so it can be used by the body. In fact, by getting enough magnesium, you diminish your need for vitamin D.

And, if you are like most people, you are not getting enough magnesium.

Studies show only about 25% of us are getting the Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) for magnesium.

Magnesium not only helps with vitamin D activation, it also has many other jobs in our bodies.

What happens when you don’t get enough magnesium? Your heart beats are irregular, and you have muscle cramps, fatigue, and even migraines.

Magnesium strengthens bones and can even help you sleep better.

Foods high in magnesium include nuts (like almonds and cashews), seeds (pumpkin, sesame, and sunflower), bananas, broccoli, eggs, and whole grains.

If you are taking vitamin D, make sure that you are getting both magnesium and vitamin K.

Your body will thank you.
