Live 24 EXTRA Years with THESE 8 Habits?!
Do you have an idea how long you think you’re going to live?
The average American life expectancy is around 76. (It’s a little longer if you’re a woman.)
But what if I could grant you 18 EXTRA years beyond the number in your head?
Well, I can practically guarantee you those extra years.
And all you have to do is adopt eight habits.
I think we all can agree that 18 extra years of living is FANTASTIC! Imagine how many more memories of births, birthdays, weddings, and holidays you can make in that time.
And if you can to start on those eight habits even earlier in life…say, at 40… the number of extra years SOARS to 24!
Oh, AND it doesn’t even matter if you already have a chronic disease such as diabetes or heart disease.
In fact, according to a new study presented at the American Society for Nutrition’s annual conference, all you have to do is adopt (and stick to) eight habits for healthier living.
Following are the healthy habits you will want to get started practicing immediately…
- Exercise: Many experts (ME included) think exercise is the MOST important thing you can do to live longer and better. And don’t worry, we’re not talking about spending hours every day at the gym. Simply getting out for a long walk a few times a week can make all the difference.
- Avoid opioid addiction: Sadly, this one has made the list because of the opioid crisis, in which over 16 million have become addicted to these dangerous drugs. And opioids, of course, are incredibly difficult to get off of.
- Never use tobacco: While never using tobacco is a huge bonus, don’t overlook the value of stopping NOW if you do use them. There are still huge payoffs, including adding years to your life.
- Manage stress: This may be one of the hardest habits to adopt. These days it seems like we’re ALL stressed out. And we need to find ways to reduce the stress in our lives. (Check out my earlier report for some tips by clicking HERE.)
- Avoid processed foods: The study focused on people eating plant-based diets. But I don’t it’s necessary to give up meat (in fact, I generally advise AGAINST it). But what you DO need to do is swear off the processed stuff. Kick all the ultra-processed foods out of your diet, including processed meats.
- Avoid binge drinking: The study advised drinking less than four drinks daily. But I would go a step further. You should be drinking a LOT less (maybe twice a month). Alcohol is a toxin. And its first detoxification steps turn it into something MORE toxic called aldehyde.
- Getting a good night’s sleep: I’ll admit, this is another “easier said than done” habit to adopt. But it’s well worth working on. If you need help with sleep, many natural substances can help. Check out my “Better Sleep Program” for a list (and OTHER sleep tips).
- Positive social relationships: It’s critical to nurture our social relationships, especially as we age. Study after study proves when we don’t, it’s at our own peril. It harms our mental and physical health. Surround yourself with supportive friends and family.
Pat yourself on the back for every one of these habits you’re ALREADY practicing. And then start adding the rest to your routine one at a time when you feel ready.
And then get ready to spend a LOT more years on this Earth doing the things you love the most.
P.S. Thinking about making the switch to so-called plant-based “meat?” Read my report “Fake Meat Hiding A Dangerous Secret” FIRST.
