2 for 1 Deal Protects Your Eyes AND Your Brain!

Yesterday, I warned you about a link between vision loss and cognitive impairment.

It turns out common cataracts don’t just rob you of your vision… they could also do a number on your brain.

But there was GOOD news, too. That decline may be reversible!

If you missed that issue, CLICK HERE to catch up on the details.

Today, I want to reveal how you can SUPPORT your eyesight and reduce your risk of vision loss from ALL causes.

If you’re lucky enough NOT to have had any vision changes yet it’s a good idea to take steps immediately to KEEP it that way.

  • Vitamin A: This vitamin is crucial for vision and eye health. It’s an essential component of rhodopsin, a protein that absorbs light in the retina. It’s also vital for the health of the cornea and conjunctival membranes.
  • Omega-3 fatty acids: DHA, found in fish oil, is an omega-3 fatty acid. The photoreceptors in the retina are made up of 50 percent DHA. I typically suggest supplementing with one to three grams of fish oil daily.
  • Berries: I’m a big fan of berries, which contain many powerful antioxidant compounds. They’re also rich in essential vitamins and flavonoids that your eyes need to stay healthy. Studies show that blueberries, bilberries, and Maqui berries support night vision.
  • Lutein and zeaxanthin: This potent tag team of carotenoids is found in colorful fruits and vegetables and helps the macula determine color vision.
  • Balanced blood sugar: Increases in blood sugar are part of the reason for the cloudiness of cataracts developing. High blood sugar increases Advance Glycation End-Products (a fancy word for misshapen proteins caused by sugar). If you have problems balancing blood sugar, consider supplementing with the herbal extract berberine and the mineral chromium.

Don’t put off protecting your vision. Take these steps today to support your eyesight. And when you do, you could ALSO be protecting your brain health.

That’s the kind of two-for-one deal I can get behind!

P.S. Save your eyesight… with EGGS?! (Shocking)
