Calcium Is ATTACKING Your Brain! (Shocking)

Dear Living Well Daily Reader,

If you had to name one supplement off the top of your head, which one comes to mind immediately?

I’d bet you five dollars that it’s calcium.

Day in and day out, it’s just about the only nutrient you ever hear about… especially as you age.

Strong bones ARE the key to preventing falls and maintaining your mobility, after all.

But calcium ISN’T.

In fact, not only is it NOT helping your bones, it could be destroying your brain AND your memory.

Here’s everything you need to know.

A new study published in the British Journal of Nutrition has found that supplementing with calcium can cause serious damage to your brain.

For the research, scientists analyzed calcium supplementation and brain health in 227 seniors.

All participants underwent MRI brain scans.

At the end, the researchers found folks taking calcium supplements – even in small amounts – had an increased risk of brain lesions.

Experts report that these dangerous lesions can lead to memory issues and are caused by lack of blood flow. Calcium is to blame for this because it can harden and block your arteries, which reduces the amount that reaches your brain.

Even worse? Recent studies show that calcium supplements contribute to heart disease, pineal gland (a gland in your brain) calcification, and even Alzheimer’s disease.

All of this may be worth it if taking calcium supplements actually made better bones – because breaking a bone when you are older can dramatically shorten your life.

And study after study shows that taking calcium (especially large amounts of calcium) will indeed fill up your bones with calcium.

But denser bones are not better bones, and people still break them just as often as if they had not taken calcium at all.

All this can be confusing because, yes, calcium is important for building bones.

But all you have to do is look at strict vegetarians like elephants and giraffes to find that you can get enough calcium if you eat the right foods.

Now I’m not suggesting you become vegetarian (far from it!), but what I am suggesting is that you eat the right nutrients to build bones of which calcium is only one of many.

If you’re worried about getting enough calcium, add some green leafy vegetables to your diet.

P.S. If you want to truly protect your bones, try this instead. It’s the easiest way to avoid osteoporosis and fractures, and your mainstream doc ISN’T telling you about it.
