“Flavor Trick” Helps You MELT Fat!

Dear Living Well Daily Reader,

All you have to do to lose weight is eat less and exercise more.

Right?

Hopefully, you know how misguided and wrong that standard mainstream medical advice is.

Anyone who has ever tried to lose weight by following that advice knows how badly it works… and how downright difficult it is to get results!

Losing weight successfully takes a variety of strategies, including increasing protein, working to build muscle, staying away from sugar, and avoiding vegetable oils, to name a few.

But now there’s a MUCH easier way to drop some pounds.

A new study reveals that this “flavor trick” can help you MELT fat.

I’m taking about adding flavonoids to your diet.

In a recent study, a group of researchers investigated flavonoids (also known as flavan-3-ols or flavanols) as a potential ally in combating weight gain.

Flavonoids act as powerful antioxidants, and many previous studies have given us all good reasons to add more flavonoids to our diets.

Eating more flavonoids improves your heart health by lowering cholesterol levels, controlling blood sugar, preventing cancer, and maintaining a healthy brain as we age.

The researchers in this most recent study found that flavonoids also improve fat metabolism.

While we tend to think of fat on our body as all the same, there are actually two different kinds: white fat and brown fat. White fat is the fat we are familiar with – it’s our energy storage system. We pack on white fat to be put away for a rainy day when food is not easily available.

Brown fat, on the other hand, is much more metabolically active and helps to maintain our body temperature.

Converting white fat into brown fat leads to weight loss and a higher metabolic rate.

Flavonoids appear to do just that by accelerating the conversion of white fat to brown fat.

Where can you get more flavonoids? Luckily, they’re in LOTS of foods, so there’s a flavonoid source for every taste!

You can find them in cocoa, apple, grapeseed, red wine, red cabbage, berries, and more, but I think it’s best to supplement to make sure you’re getting enough.

I prefer to add a flavonoid-rich powder into a drink or a smoothie – it is easy, and you get all your flavonoids for the day.

P.S. If you’re looking for another way to get more flavonoids, you can’t miss this delicious English treat!
